Jonathan Ripman
Chair of Trustees
Jonathan is a Founder of Cancer Support Suffolk and has been Chair of Trustees since Day 1. He lost his Father, Father-in-law, Sister and Brother to cancer. Jonathan spent 36 years as a Solicitor/Partner at Gotelee Solicitors in Ipswich and in that time was President of the Suffolk and North Essex Law Society. He is Honorary President of the Suffolk Law Advice Centre. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family.

Steve Runnacles
Treasurer
Steve has been a Chartered Accountant since 1979. He became a Partner in an Ipswich firm, Ballams, in 1984 and then moved to be a Partner in the firm Ensors in 1999.
Steve has now retired from Practice and now has time to turn his attention to his other interests. Steve has been Treasurer of the OI Club for many years and belongs to the Rotary Club of Ipswich East. He is a Trustee of 3 local Charities. Steve and Belinda are proud parents and grandparents.

John Button
Trustee
John is a consultant surveyor and project manager with Castons Chartered Surveyors based in Ipswich. He was the project partner for the building of the Cancer Support Suffolk John Le Vay Cancer Information Centre at Ipswich Hospital and became a Trustee of the charity in 2004.
John’s interests outside the Trust include Rotay. John is a member of the Rotary Club of Ipswich East, and is the organiser of The Orwell Challenge, a fundraising event which members and volunteers of Cancer Support Suffolk have used in the past. John loves his golf, and is a member of Ipswich Golf Club. John is also a season ticket holder at ITFC.

Dr Liz Sherwin
Trustee
Liz is a senior oncology consultant in Ipswich Hospital and has also been part of the charity since 1998. Liz brings her medical expertise to the board and is very much admired by all her patients. However, she is a little camera shy.

Rosetta Richardson
Trustee
Rosie has an extensive commercial and operationally led background. Having started her career in newspaper advertising sales, she left to join Ipswich Town Football Club in 2000 and enjoyed a prolific career there spanning 23 years.
With her vast experience, Rosie is an expert in developing and implementing strategic sales and business plans along with cultivating key client relationships and has had the pleasure of working with an array of stakeholders.
Rosie is delighted to join the board of Cancer Support Suffolk Trustees and will relish the role and her involvement.
Outside of the charity, Rosie and her husband enjoy socialising with family and friends, travelling and she is also a keen runner.

Teresa Budrey
Trustee
Teresa started her healthcare career in the mid 1980’s and qualified as a Registered Nurse for Learning Disabilities in 1989 in Norfolk. She worked for 40 years in the NHS and at the Royal College of Nursing. Teresa is passionate about communities and is a Trustee of her local women’s Institute.
Making the most of our beautiful coastline, Teresa enjoys walks by the sea and regular trips to Norfolk to visit family.

Jonathan Agar
Trustee
Jonathan has been Chief Executive of Birketts, a law firm based in Ipswich and also with offices in Bristol, Cambridge, Chelmsford, London, Norwich and Sevenoaks, since 2013. Prior to this he spent 15 years working in London for a number of Financial Services business before he returned to Suffolk, where he was brought up. Jonathan was a trustee of the Suffolk Community Foundation for 10 years and a governor of The Royal Hospital School for nine years where he chaired the Finance Committee for five years.
As a Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk Jonathan plays an active role in the Lieutenancy Business and Enterprise Group that promotes the King’s Award for Enterprise in recognising business excellence across the county. He is also engaged in seeking to reduce social isolation and rural deprivation in Suffolk. Jonathan represents the Lord-Lieutenant on the Shotley Peninsular where he lives with his wife Fenella and three (almost grown-up) daughters.
