Willis Towers Watson Ipswich has announced it has selected Cancer Campaign in Suffolk (CCiS) as its new charity of the year for 2023/2024.
CCiS is run from its Community Cancer Wellbeing Hub in central Ipswich and they work closely with ESNEFT hospital by providing complementary therapy and counselling through the Cancer Information and Wellbeing Centre. CCiS and WTW Ipswich will partner for 24 months with the multinational insurance advisor dedicating its fundraising efforts to the local, independent cancer charity.
Mike Cherry, Chair of the WTW Ipswich Community Forum said “WTW Ipswich is delighted to have chosen Cancer Campaign in Suffolk (CCIS) as its new charity partner for 2023/24. The charity and its work is known to many of our own colleagues and their families, many of whom have themselves been touched by cancer. We are very aware of the important work that CCIS does in our local area to raise awareness of cancer and to enhance the lives of those living with cancer in Suffolk. As we start our charity partnership journey with CCIS, WTW Ipswich looks forward to fundraising for CCIS, helping them to continue their vital work”.
Karen Hare, Chief Executive of CCiS commented : Karen Hare, Chief Executive of CCiS commented… we are thrilled to be working with WTW Ipswich and look forward to all the exciting fundraising events throughout 2023/24. As a small and independent charity, we hugely appreciate the support of businesses like WTW. With one in two of us having a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime, sadly we will all be touched by cancer in some way. The funds raised by WTW will enable us to continue to meet the increased demands on the projects we provide at ESNEFT hospital and at our new Community Wellbeing Cancer Hub in the heart of Ipswich.
